Learning at the Bachelor of Informatics Distance Learning Study Program applies the Student Centered Learning (SCL) method, namely learning that aims to build autonomy and freedom for the learner by placing the learner at the center of the learning experience.
In this Study Program, learning is held by utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) which can be accessed on the http://lms.telkomuniversity.ac.id/ page which is managed by Telkom University and can be accessed anywhere and anytime.
Learn to be independent
Independent learning activities are carried out at the initiative of students, namely by studying digital materials or conducting group discussions through forums or chats.
Guided Learning
Guided learning is a learning process provided by the Distance Learning Study Program to assist the learning process of students in the form of face-to-face tutorials and online tutorials, relying on direct or virtual guidance from lecturers/tutors, residential (mukim) and non-residential (not mukim).
The portion of Face to Face Tutorials (Residential & Non-Residential) is not more than 4 times for each course or only 20% is enough (3 times).
The maximum total period that can be required for a Residential Face-to-face Tutorial is 20 working days per semester.
In addition, learning in the Informatics Distance Learning Study Program is carried out through practicum, which is held face-to-face and/or technology-assisted, structured, scheduled; and guided.
Evaluation of Learning Outcomes
Evaluation of learning outcomes is based on the main activities, namely the value of independent and guided learning (25%), UTS scores (30%), and UAS scores (45%). The three scores are accumulated to later become the final grade for the course. UTS and UAS activities are held online with supervision.
